It's Not
About Us
It's about Jesus Christ and Him receiving all that His blood paid for. May God be our greatest love. Let His Kingdom be first. All we do be about Him and from Him and for Him and through Him. His presence. His Spirit. His Word. His ways. His power. His vision. His heart. His fame. His glory! We are a small group of friends from throughout the US, Mexico and various other countries who passionately follow Jesus Christ as His Church, His body, and family. We are in no less need of Him than the people who we are called to help. Some of our team used to be the very people our mission found and raised up to now serve along our side. Our team and ministry is closely knit to a growing list of Jesus-loving, Bible-grounded church congregations, desiring to pay no more attention to denomination than God's Word does (Statement of Faith). We simply want to grow in our ability to see and reflect God's glory and represent Him well, trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish through us everything our faith prompts us to do in Jesus' name.
Statement of Faith
Our doctrine is simply God’s Word. Following are our core beliefs summarized and their scriptural basis in the written Word of God, the Holy Bible. There is much more we have learned and continue to learn as we study exhaustively and seek God intimately. This is only possible through personal relationship with Jesus, the Living Word, and the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. These core beliefs, however, are what have both given us life and what we are willing to give our lives for.
Reliance on God’s Word, core beliefs vs. deeper teachings: Matt. 4:4; Matt. 22:36-40; Heb. 5:12-14; 1 Cor. 3:1-2
Acceptable vs. unbiblical traditions: Rom. 14:5-6, 14, 23; Mark 7:8-9, 13; Col. 2:8; Matt. 15:3, 6; Col. 2:20-23
Continual growth to know God and His Word: Josh. 1:8; 2 Tim. 2:15; Acts 17:11; Acts 18:24-28; Eph. 1:17-18; 2 Pet. 3:18; Col. 1:9-10; Hosea 6:3
Seeking God in personal, intimate relationship: Deut. 4:29; Psalm 119:2; Gen. 3:8; Rev. 3:20; John 17:3; John 15:4-5, 15; Rom. 5:10-11; Eph. 3:14-19; Eph. 5:32; 2 Cor. 11:2; Ex. 34:14; Song of Songs 1:2-4
God speaks and His people hear and know His voice: John 10:3-4, 27; Isa. 30:21; Heb. 3:7; John 16:13; 1 Kings 19:11-13
Jesus as the Living Word: John 1:1, 4, 14; 1 John 1:1; Heb. 4:12
The Holy Spirit’s role in understanding truth: John 14:26; John 16:13; 1 Cor. 2:10-12; 1 John 2:27
Life in the Spirit vs. legalism: 2 Cor. 3:5-6; Rom. 7:6; Rom. 2:29; John 6:63
Beliefs worth giving our lives for: Rev. 12:11; Acts 20:24; Phil. 1:21; 2 Tim. 4:6-7
Note about Bible Translation
We routinely compare multiple Bible translations (AMP, NLT, ESV, NASB, KJV, NTV, RVR, and others), which represent both formal-equivalence and dynamic-equivalence approaches, along with the original languages and historical context. This practice deepens and confirms our understanding, much like God Himself gave us four Gospel accounts to compare. Just as the New Testament was originally written in Koine Greek, the most commonly understood language of that time, we have also chosen translations that ensure God's Word is accessible to all. Because we regularly share the Gospel and God's Word with people who are unfamiliar with it (both inside and outside the Church), we often use the NLT, which has a direct Spanish counterpart (NTV), to communicate in clear, everyday language, just as Jesus did. Following His example, we reject the appearance of religion for the desire to present God's Word in a way that anyone can grasp and begin their own study. Ultimately, Scripture is not an end in itself but was given to point us to the Author so that we may know Him and be transformed by the Living Word.
Careful study and handling of God’s Word: 2 Tim. 2:15; Acts 17:11; 2 Pet. 3:16; 2 Cor. 4:2; 1 Thess. 5:21; 2 Cor. 11:3-4
Proving and confirming the truth of the message: Acts 17:2-3; 1 Cor. 15:3-8; Gal. 2:1-2; Gal. 6-9; Acts 18:24-28; James 3:1-2, 13-18
Use of multiple accounts: 2 Cor. 13:1; Deut. 19:15; Examples:
Feeding the five thousand: Matt. 14:13-21; Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-14
Jesus welcoming the children: Matt. 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17
Crucifixion and burial of Jesus: Matt. 27:32-66; Mark 15:21-47; Luke 23:26-56; John 19:16-42
Resurrection of Jesus: Matt. 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-8; Luke 24:1-53; John 20:1-31
Using clear, everyday language and explaining Scripture plainly: Neh. 8:8; Acts 2:6-8, 11; 1 Cor. 14:9, 19; 1 Cor. 9:19-23; Mark 12:37; Matt. 11:25; John 7:46; Luke 24:27; Matt. 13:36-43; Acts 8:30-35
Jesus as the Living Word and Truth Who transforms us: John 1:1, 4, 14; 1 John 1:1; John 6:63; Heb. 4:12; John 8:31-32; John 14:6; John 13:17; Rom. 12:2; 2 Cor. 3:18; 1 Pet. 1:23
Warnings against empty religion, knowing about vs. doing the Word: Matt. 7:21-27; Matt. 23:27-28; James 1:21-25; James 2:17; 1 Tim. 1:4-7; 2 Tim. 3:5-7
GOD
There is only one true God. He is sovereign over all creation. God exists equally in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is revealed to us through His creation, the Scriptures, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. God perfectly defines and expresses truth and love to us and desires a relationship with every person.
One true God sovereign over creation: Gen. 1:26; John 1:1-4; Col. 1:16-17
God exists in three Persons, each equally God: Eph. 4:4-6; Phil. 2:6; Acts 5:3-4; Matt. 28:19; Matt. 3:16-17; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Pet. 1:2; Jude 1:20-21
God as Father to those who receive Jesus: Matt. 6:9; Eph. 1:3; Rom. 8:15; Gal. 4:6; John 1:12

Scripture: John 20:31; John 5:39; Luke 24:27; 2 Tim. 3:15; Psalm 119:130; Rom. 15:4
Jesus: Matt. 11:27; John 1:18; John 14:8-9; Col. 1:15; Col. 2:9; Heb. 1:1-3; 2 Cor. 4:4
The Holy Spirit: John 16:13-15; 1 Cor. 2:10-12; John 14:26; 1 John 2:27; John 15:26; 1 Thess. 1:5

JESUS
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, equal with God the Father and God the Spirit. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and was fully God and fully man. During His earthly ministry His miraculous acts, sinless life, pure and perfect teachings, and fulfillment of prophecy confirmed His Deity. While He experienced human emotions, physical sufferings, and temptations He acted completely in obedience to the Father. He died for our sins, was buried, and was raised from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father and is our High Priest and Advocate, and will return again someday. Only one Head, Jesus Christ, reigns over only one Church, as He continues working in us to love one another and be one as He commanded. Scripture warns that any teaching that lessens Jesus’ deity or exclusive role in salvation is false doctrine. We therefore desire to reach those who hold such teachings with the true Good News of Jesus Christ as defined in His Word.
Deity of Jesus and equality with Father and Spirit: John 8:58; John 10:30-33; Phil. 2:6-7; Col. 2:9; Titus 2:13; John 1:1-3
Virgin birth and full God/man nature: Luke 1:35; Matt. 1:22-23; Isa. 7:14; John 1:14; Phil. 2:6-7; Gal. 4:4; Rom. 8:3; Heb. 2:14, 17; 1 Tim. 3:16
Earthly ministry confirming Deity: John 5:36; John 10:25, 37-38; John 14:11; John 20:30-31; John 2:11; Matt. 11:2-6; Acts 2:22; Luke 4:21; Heb. 4:15
Death, burial, and resurrection: Acts 4:12; 1 Cor. 15:1-7; 1 John 5:11-12; Rom. 4:25; Rom. 10:9; 1 Pet. 1:3; Acts 2:24; 1 Cor. 15:20-22; Isa. 53:9; John 19:38-42
Ascension, exaltation, High Priest, and return: Acts 1:9-11; Heb. 1:3; Eph. 1:20; Heb. 4:14; Heb. 8:1; 1 John 2:1; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 9:28; Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7
Sole Head over the one Church: Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18; Eph. 5:23; Eph. 4:4-6; 1 Cor. 1:10-13; Matt. 16:18; Col. 2:19; John 17:20-23
Warning against false teachings: 2 John 1:7-9; 1 John 4:1-3; Gal. 1:6-9; 2 Cor. 11:4; 2 Thess. 2:1-3; 1 Tim. 4:1; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; Heb. 3:12; 2 Pet. 2:1; 2 Cor. 11:3-4
Reaching those who hold false teachings with the true Gospel: John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 John 5:11-12; 2 Tim. 2:24-26; Gal. 6:1; 2 Tim. 4:2; Matt. 18:15; Titus 3:10; Jude 1:22-23; 2 Pet. 3:16; Acts 17:2-3; Gal. 2:1-2; 2 Cor. 10:4-5; Acts 18:24-28
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit indwells every person from the very moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit produces new life in us and helps each believer to understand Scripture, discern what is right, and provides the strength to serve and obey God. The Holy Spirit’s influence becomes greater and more effective in us as we yield to His leading in obedience. The Holy Spirit indwelling in believers joins us as members of Jesus’ Body as He bears His fruit through us as proof. Jesus Christ the Head and the Holy Spirit who dwells inside His Body are One. We the Body have no authority apart from the Head to declare when the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit cease.
John 3:1-7, Rom. 8:9-10, Eph. 1:14, 4:30; 2 Cor. 1:22, 5:5; John 14:26; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Cor. 3:17; 1 Cor. 3:16; Acts 28:25-27; Heb. 10:15-17; 1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 5:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:4-11; Acts 1:8; Rom. 8:26-27; 1 Cor. 2:10-12; John 16:7-11; Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Cor. 13:8-12; Matt. 7:16-20; John 15:5; Eph. 4:3-6; 2 Cor. 11:3-4
HUMANITY
God creates all humans, male and female, in his image, and therefore all people have intrinsic value and purpose. By the sin of the first man and woman (Adam and Eve), death entered the world. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, alienated from God and without hope apart from Jesus Christ.
Gen. 1:26-27, 3; Rom. 3:10-12, 3:23, 5:12; 1 Cor. 15:21-22; Eph. 2:1-3; Psalm 139:13-14
THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture or error. The Bible is infallible, inerrant, and absolute truth. Where it speaks, we listen and obey.
Psalms 12:6, 119:105, 160; Prov. 30:5; 2 Tim. 1:13, 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; Heb. 4:12; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13
BAPTISM
Baptism is an act commanded by Christ and confirmed by the Apostles. The immersion into water connects the believer to the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:38-39; Col. 2:11-12; Rom. 6:3-5; Gal. 3:26-29; Acts 8:36-38; Acts 22:16; Mark 16:16
SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. Salvation can be found in Christ alone and is offered to all by grace through faith. A living faith is demonstrated through repentance, confession, baptism by immersion, and a life of obedience.
John 14:6; Rom. 3:23, 5:12; Acts 2:38; Gal. 3:26-29; Eph. 2:4-10; Eph. 2:8-9; Rom. 10:9-10; James 2:17, 2:26; 2 Cor. 11:3-4
THE CHURCH
The church is the body of Christ on earth, with Christ as the head. God’s church is comprised of all believers, serving as ministers of the gospel according to the gifts which God has given them. Together the church is called to make disciples of every tribe, people, and language until Christ returns. We realize denominations can be helpful to unite God’s people in a local congregation, but we are grieved when they are used to divide Christ’s Body as a whole. We desire to give no more importance to denominations within the Church than what God Himself does.
Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 3:10, 4:11-13; Col. 1:18; 1 Pet. 2:9-10; Rev. 7:9; Eph. 1:22-23; 1 Cor. 12:12-13; Heb. 10:24-25; Matt. 16:18; John 17:20-23; Eph. 4:3-6; 1 Cor. 1:10; Col. 3:14; John 13:34-35; Rom. 12:9; 1 John 3:18; 1 Pet. 1:22; Heb. 13:1; 2 Cor. 5:20; John 14:12
A Bit of Our History
The History Makers family has been investing in the Kingdom of God in the city of Juarez, Mexico since 2007. After serving 10 years in a Juarez children’s home/orphanage, God called us to the outskirts of the city where we were shocked to find children living in far worse conditions but yet in families that remained together.Father God opened our eyes to the deeper need in the city for the Church to adopt entire families in order to prevent orphans and the perpetual need for the children’s homes that currently blanket the city.In 2018, we established History Makers International upon beginning genuine friendships with these families who were the inspiration behind our mission to seek, heal, equip, and raise up history makers for the Kingdom of God.The term "history maker" was inspired by John 14:12-14 where Jesus says, "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!"We believe there are countless future history makers that simply need the Church to come alongside for a time to break the cycle of destruction from the enemy in their families. As they are healed by the power of the blood of Jesus and equipped by the Church, they are raised up to make history for the Kingdom of God, starting in their own families and then into their own communities and beyond.

Current Efforts
The following efforts are underway focused on a community that lies on the outskirts of the city of Juarez, Mexico.
Adopt Entire Families
We go where they live. Genuine friendships are cultivated through which we share the Gospel and provide basic needs of health, food, shelter, clothing, education, discipleship, and knowledge of God’s Word. The family is no longer under the constant threat of separation from city authorities as they break free from survival-mode. The Church becomes their extended family that covers them.Through the leading and power of the Holy Spirit, we see healing in every way. Through constant prayer and wisdom from God, we see their unique gifts and callings emerge. By the grace of God and following His Word, we equip them and send them out as history makers. In fact, several of them are working along our side now as we seek out the next family together.
Click Subscribe under "Sponsor a Family".
Invest in the future of a specific family/missionary with a recurring donation starting at $50 a month that goes towards what's needed to equip them to become a history maker for Christ. You will be able to connect with them personally on an ongoing basis (translation provided), enabling you to send them encouragement, be a part of milestones in their life, and hear from them directly how your support is making a difference.
Christian School
Many children in the families we serve do not attend school. Local public schools are underfunded and require a long list of continual expenses they demand from each parent. This results in children roaming the streets, falling into danger, drugs, promiscuity, and poverty that just repeats the generational cycle of destruction. In response to this urgent need, we are starting our own Christian school at a local church building that is currently vacant during the week. We will pick up the children in the morning and bring them back home in the afternoon. We have excellent local teachers and administrators that feel the call to leave behind prosperous positions to instead ensure these children can have the best education grounded in the Word of God.These children will not only have the ability to leave the streets and excel academically but will also know deeply God’s Word as they discover their gifts and callings and are equipped to make history for the Kingdom of God.
Put "school" in the memo.
A monthly "Further the Mission" donation or a one-time amount can help make this school possible and help with many expenses, such as curriculum, books, teachers, facilities, and transportation.
Community Center
There’s a strategic lot of land we hope to acquire that’s in the midst of where the majority of our adopted families live. Being on the outskirts of Juarez, the community has very limited access to many common services that even within city limits are sorely lacking. Here we can build a community center, our own small embassy of the Kingdom of God, which would greatly facilitate our current efforts to serve the families nearby as will as create many new possibilities to further the mission. We dream of having space where families can walk to attend church, worship God, and study the Bible together as well as receive meals, basic necessities, tutoring, safe extracurricular activities, and life-changing skills and workshops.
Put "land" in the memo.
A monthly "Further the Mission" donation or a one-time amount will help us complete the first big step in purchasing the land where the community center can be built.
Building Homes
Many families in the community live in houses made of trash, such as shipping pallets, scrap wood, cardboard, boxsprings, and old vinyl banners. Apart from the obvious issues, this is particularly dangerous in the high desert of Juarez where summer days are well over 100ºF and winter nights below freezing. Some more fortunate families have been selected to be given a small, more American-style wooden house that typically lasts less than 10 years due to the harsh conditions. In response, our team has been perfecting the “earthbag” method of construction. This method makes use of the very dirt you’re standing on as well as other easily accessible materials and tools that you could even make yourself. It’s inexpensive, simple to teach, extremely durable lasting more than a lifetime, and has amazing thermodynamic features.During scorching hot summer days, the inside of the perimeter walls of an earthbag home will naturally release the cool air they collected during the night prior. Likewise during cold winter nights, the walls will release the heat they collected during the day prior. We have completed two earthbag structures and hope to continue teaching the locals how they can build their own.
Contribute to our continual effort to provide dignified housing to families in extreme need as well as workshops to empower locals to build these homes themselves.
Neighborhood Outreach
We offer annual outreaches in the community where we invite everyone around to enjoy a day of family fun and the love of God. Visiting missionaries from far away typically serve with us along with the very family members of those we have adopted locally. Many neighbors receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and are baptized into the family of God there on the spot. We give them their own Bible and connect them to a local church for continued discipleship. Hope rings out in this community more and more as people discover and experience that the Kingdom of God has come and that it's for them.
Contribute to our continual effort to share the Good News and see a whole community transformed by the Kingdom of God.
Mission Base
Our house which is centrally located in the city limits of Juarez serves as a mission base where our local leaders reside. We are blessed with ample room and love to host mission groups, interns, and long-term missionaries. Here is where we also offer workshops, conferences, fun family events for those we minister to, and a safe refuge for anyone in need. The house is within a gated community that has 24/7 security, about 45 minutes away from the community we serve and a short drive from the border of El Paso, Texas (about half hour away from El Paso International airport).
Let us know how you are being led, and we would be delighted to begin a conversation with you regarding a possible visit, mission trip, or internship.
